We're making room
Over the last year we have seen a lot of growth here at Poplar Ridge! In order to serve our community and make more room we are adding an additional service!
Questions you might ask
1. Why are we moving to three services?
We’re growing! Our second service is consistently full, and we want to make room for more people to find A Place to Call Home. This change helps us continue to Love God. Love People. and reach more of our community.
2. When does the new service schedule start?
The new three-service schedule begins on Sunday, May 4th. The new service times will be:
⏰ 9:00 AM | 10:15 AM | 11:30 AM
3. Will the services be the same?
Yes! Each service will have the same worship experience and message, so you can choose the time that works best for you.
4. How do I choose a service to attend?
We encourage families and individuals to pick a service and stick with it to create a consistent experience. If possible, consider attending the 9:00 AM or 11:30 AM service to free up space at 10:15 AM, which may be the busiest.
5. How can I help make this transition successful?
• Invite a friend! More services = more opportunities to bring people in.
• Join a serve team! With three services, we need more volunteers to help welcome and serve.
6. Will there be enough volunteers for three services?
We’re confident that God will provide, but we also need YOU! Whether it’s greeting, kids ministry, or tech, serving is a great way to be part of this exciting new season.
7. What if I already serve? Will I have to serve more?
We want to ensure our volunteers are cared for. Some may choose to serve at multiple services, but our goal is to add new team members so no one is overworked.
8. What about kids and student ministry?
Our Kids Ministry will be available during all three services so families can choose any time that works best for them. Student Sunday times to be determined.
9. Will there still be time for fellowship between services?
Yes! While the transitions will be quicker, we encourage you to hang out in the Welcome Center, grab coffee, and connect with others before or after your service.
14. Do I need to RSVP for a service?
No RSVP is required! Just show up at the time that works best for you.
15. How does adding a third service help our church?
More services mean more opportunities for people to experience Jesus. This allows us to make room for growth, reach new people, and strengthen our church community.
16. How long will we stay at three services?
We’ll evaluate as we go, but our hope is that this continues to make space for more people to find A Place to Call Home.
17. Is this a sign we need a bigger building?
That’s always a possibility in the future, but right now, adding a third service is the best way to maximize our space and reach more people.
18. What if I’m new to the church? Which service should I attend?
First of all, welcome! You can attend any of the three services—they all have the same worship and message. If you’re unsure, we’d love to help you find the best fit!
19. Which service will be live streamed?
10:15 AM
20. How can I pray for the church during this transition?
Pray for our leadership, volunteers, and the people who will come to know Jesus because of this change! We believe this is a big step of faith, and we appreciate everyone praying for wisdom and growth.
21. What if I have more questions?
We’d love to chat! Reach out to our church office or talk to a team member on Sunday.
